Disability Access Statement

Bryniau Golau is built on a hillside and access is via a gate directly on to a single-track public road. Parking is by the roadside just beyond the house, approximately 40 yards from the front gate.  From the front gate there are 6 steps, each rising 7 inches, to the front door. There is then a 5inch high step before the hall door is reached.  There is a one-inch sill at the hall door.  If required, an alternative entrance without steps, but with a door sill 5inches high, can be made available. All public rooms (Sitting room, study, cloakroom and dining room) are on the ground floor and all bedrooms are on the first floor, which is reached via a flight of 16 steps, each 8 inches high, with a dog-leg turn after the first 12 steps. There are handrails on both sides of the stairs up to the turn and thereafter on one side only.  There are no rails for the last three steps.

Bedrooms
The Aran and Arenig bedrooms have level access to their ensuite bathrooms and the Berwyn has three steps down to the ensuite bathroom.

All bedrooms are provided with hairdryer, clock radios, refreshment trays with cordless kettles and televisions with remote control.

Beds are made with seasonally appropriate goosedown duvets. Hollowfibre duvets or sheets and blankets can be substituted if required.  All pillows are hollowfibre and every bed has one firm and one soft pillow for each guest. An extra blanket and pillow is provided in every bedroom.

The Berwyn and Arenig bedrooms have 5 ft. British king size (American queen size) beds and the Aran bedroom has a 6ft super king size (American king size) bed which can be split into two 3ft beds.
